Welcome
From the Rev. Peter E Bristow,
Vicar, Rural Dean of New Ainsty
I am delighted to welcome you to the web site of the Church of England parish of St. Mary’s. Boston Spa is a large Georgian village on the river Wharfe, close to the A1 immediately south of Wetherby, and just within the  metropolitan area of Leeds. The parish is part of an informal grouping of five parishes in the Diocese of York, known as the Lower Wharfe Group.  St. Mary’s is the largest of the five parishes and is especially known for the warmth of its welcome. Through its varied Sunday and weekday worship and large range of ministries and community activities and links it seeks to provide a firm spiritual foundation in the Christian faith. We have our own church school and a number of organizations for our younger members.  In addition to this site we produce a weekly newsletter and a monthly magazine.
In “Resources” you can download the latest York Diocesan News and our Church Magazine, also Acrobat Reader and other handy utilities. Find links to the websites of other local churches, schools, the Diocese, and much more.
