The Discoverers Club is open to all Key Stage 1 and 2 children.
Regular meetings are once a month, at St Mary’s Church from 5-7pm on a Friday evening. Each meeting has a theme from the bible that runs through all the activities which include art & craft, singing and dancing, games and drama. This years theme is hero's of the Old Testament. Other one off events are also held throughout the year, these may be social events or have a separate theme e.g. the holiday club.
During each academic year there will be a Discoverers service in each of the Churches in the Lower Wharfe group of parishes, these will be notified nearer the time.
All children are welcome at the Discoverers club, and all events are free. However if you would like to make a donation, we suggest that £2 per child would be appropriate.

Sunday School runs every Sunday (except 1st Sunday of the month) during the 9.30am Eucharist Service, and is held in St. Mary’s Room starting at the same time.
It is open to all KS1 & 2 age children, although younger children are welcome although the activities generally require some reading ability.
The children play games and do craft activities based on a bible reading or theme from the adult service. So the same themes are covered in a more accessible way for the children. They rejoin the main Service at the time of the Peace. At this point they can either join their family or sit together, whichever they prefer. After Communion there will be the opportunity for them to share what they have been doing with the rest of the congregation. We hope this will help them to be more involved with the Service. If at any time the children are unsettled they can rejoin their family in the adult service, or should any child not wish to join Sunday school they are welcome to remain in the adult service.
For parental and family peace of mind all Sunday School leaders have a enhanced CRB check.
