FIRST ANNIVERSARY!
What an eventful year it’s been too! Writing on 3rd January, I’m pleased to say that in our first year, we have amassed over £45,000 actually in the Bank. This is a tremendous result, and we are deeply grateful to all who have given so generously of their CASH, their TIME and their TALENTS!
We plan to mark the actual Anniversary (19th February) with an open meeting in St. Mary’s Room at 7.30 p.m. This will be a regular working meeting, but with a glass of something to celebrate, and if you’ve never been to one of these very popular and well attended meetings, then do come, and we’ll make you very welcome. At the same time there are more Events to enjoy and raise more money :
There’s the PUDDINGS PARTY in St Mary’s Room on 23rd February and the Appeal Committee have agreed to provide and serve the MU Dinner on 5th March. The Grand AUCTION OF PROMISES is on 28th March and we’re looking forward to fixing the date for a GARDEN PARTY at the home of Wendy and Ivor Drake in Clifford, in the Summer!
We also hope soon to have more information from the Architect and the Organ Builder, so you see there is a lot happening.
Happy Anniversary!
